Age range: I am 38 years old.

Male/female: Female

What are the symptoms? Chronic fatigue, muscle aches and pains,

irritable

bowel, impaired short term memory, difficulty walking for any

period of time,

numbness in extremeties, depression, irritable bladder,

headaches, sinus pain.

Has you illness been diagnosed? Sort of. Both doctor's that I

am currently

seeing seem to " think " that's what it is, but neither are really

w! illing to come

right out and say it as there is no definitive test to prove it.

I have an

appointment to see a rhuematologist in October as that's the

soonest I can see

him.

How long did you suffer before you got help? One year.

Is there a time that you can remember when it started? No, but

looking back

after researching FM and CMPS (of which the latter I have

definately been

diagnosed), I recall lot's of things throughout my life that

could have been

indicators of the FM and CMPS.

Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have

you found this

to be a problem also? YES, most definately.

Are you on disability? I have recently applied for disability.

I " ll have to wait to

see what happens.

If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability?

Not yet, but I'm

more than willing to hear any pointers that anyone may have for

me.

What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm! baths,

medications etc.?

Yoga seems to help me the most.

Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? Yes, I am

frequently

awakened due to pain or having to urinate.

Do you have family that understands your illness? My husband

does, and I am

in the process of educating the rest of my family.

Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro,

have you?

Not yet.

What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most?

None yet. I

am hopeful that the rhuematologist will be able to help me.
