Guest guest
Tish, Thank you for all the times you have spent time answering my questions. > > If you develop trouble with thyroid at doses less than about 3 > grains or 222 mcg of Synthroid, then the problem is usually low > adrenal fucntion, anemia or some other deficiency or weakness in the > body not allowing it to be able to use thyroid. " were only able to " ...I mean what happened " Was it because you felt worse, or did you get deathly ill or what. Just crasha nd burn tired??? I am asking so I might understand any symptoms I may or may not get/have. >A typical person with few adrenal problems can make 1/4 grain > raises every two weeks. It takes 4 months to two years for the adrenals to fully > recover normal function. It takes the body some time to adapt to > faster metabolic rates caused by thyroid medications. You have to go > slowly to give it time to recover before more dose raises. > Okay. Money is so tight, I am getting my thyroid form the THYROID-S folks and ordered the 1000 pill size so I would not have to worry for awhile. Well, I got word from them a few days ago that they can not ship out until Mar 21. Well, I just got myself up to 4 1/2 grains, and my temps are starting to hit some 98.? marks every day now.. But now I am gong to have to spread out the pills so I am only taking 3 grains a day to be sure and make it until the order comes. 1) Should I be concerned dropping from 4 1/2 grains to 3 grains for 2 weeks? 2) Is this actually a rest for my adrenals in a way..or will they be struglging worse for lackof thyroid? 3) Can I jump quickly back up to the 4 1/2 grains as soon as I get them? 4) I have not been taking the CORTEF anymore. Would it be a good idea to take a little bit spread throughout the day for about a week before the new order comes? > Doses of 3 to 5 grains > or at least 222 mcg of synthroid up to 400 mcg of synthroid are > needed to change the status of a hypothryoid person. >In low dose > therapy, the pituitary works to zero out low doses. Thank you! My respitration has been real slow for years now, and this gives me a glue as to why. Late at night if I don't go to sleep until I am real tired, as soon as I lay down, I feel like I am asphixiating or my heart isn't hardly working. This will go on for a couple of minuites and then stop. Is this possibly a hypo thing, or does it sound like anything you recognize at all? > http://www.alternate-health.com/thyroid.html This last website mentions the use of LUGOLS to treat thyroid. I know this to be LUGOLS IODINE. (as it is indicated by Hulda CLark for some other conditons) So is iodine goods for some thyroid folk and not others? I seem to remember having read many posts about not taking iodine as it would make hypos worse. Is there something I am missing here? > FINAL QUESTION: Why can't people get off of CORTISONE using licorice??? ~Inga > Tish > > > > > > > > >
