How many people in this group or an average take Probiotics regularly? Are Probiotics newer to us here in the states? It seems like there is a lot of advertising for them, more than in the past. I drink Kefer and have my Dad who has PSC drink it too cause I heard so many good things about it. Kefer, I think provides the same thing. How many people in this group have great results? Can a person consume too much and cause the psc or Crohns to get worse? What other ways can we consume Probiotics? Can anyone recommend a good brand for a pill? Thanks in advance!!!

It must be wonderful for Pearl to be free form Crohn's symptoms finally. I take it that Pearl is not wanting to take the probiotic, since you imply she is currently taking both. If this assumption is right there appears to be no problem with taking both together (check with your doctor or pharmacist), but if Pearl doesn't want to take the probiotics, try stopping itaking them. Pearl will change her mind pretty quick if the symptoms come back.

We have stumbled upon an antibiotic that works for Pearl's Crohn's symptoms. We were one step away from an ileostomy when she got an ear infection and was prescribed an antibiotic and her Crohn's symptoms went away just like that. So her doctor just prescribed an antibiotic that targets the gut but is in the same class as the other one and it is working beautifully so far. So my question is, is it worth continuing the probiotic she is on with 3x a day antibiotics? Thanks in advance for any input anyone may have!mom to Pearl, PSC/AIH/Crohn's-- Ian Cribb P.Eng.
