Guest guest
When I was first given prednisone, my Doc really emphasized avoiding salt. I found this advice useful, I think I went to the extreme avoiding sodium, I even made my own mustard- without salt. It took some getting use to. I avoided most prepared food especially canned soup, cereals, chips, crackers, pickles etc. I read every food label checking for sodium, and was shocked at what foods were loaded with salt. After reducing my intake, I noticed how I reacted to salty food. If I went out for dinner, my clothes were tight before I got home. It is easier to find low sodium now then it was back in the 80's but I think it is useful. Hope this helps. Take Care MizKit Get a free MP3 every day with the Spinner.com Toolbar. Get it Now.
