Guest guest
I have been reading all of the postings about diet changes and exercise and I want to add my two cents. Please remember that what works for one may not work for you. Stopping medications without your doctor's approval could cause problems and stopping it with his approval could still cause problems such as withdrawal. This diet is very extreme. Those of you that are very excited about going on it may be disappointed that it did not work a miracle. In many cases, if fact, in most cases, it more than likely will not cause the pain and problems of fibro to become lesser pain or no pain at all. The exercises could also cause problems. I have tried walking, PT and all I got was more pain. I guess it all boils down to this. Don't expect a miracle. We do need the vitamins and supplements but we also need to check with our doctor before dumping our medications and go on this regime with the hope that you will be feeling a hundred per cent better. You could get worse. Think carefully what you are doing before doing it. If things go wrong or the pain gets worse, it is to late to do anything about it. I would also like to say that those of you that disagree with me are free to say to me and about me what you want. I am outspoken and when I feel that something needs to be addressed, I will have my say. I have been hurt with words before on this list and I have been treated badly by those that don't like to be disagreed with about the latest soap box someone is on. It will worry me that I will be badly flamed but as I have been told " Don't sweat the small stuff and it is, in the long run, all small stuff. " Take care, Irene Books may well be the only true magic Alice Hoffman
