New and having problems

Hi, my 2 1/2 yr son has been gfcf for about 6 months. He is PDD-NOS

and recovering well. He is severly allergic to dairy so we plan to

keep him off of that but only mildly to wheat. He is getting so

skinny that I would like to let him eat wheat again. I started

Kirkman's Enzyme complete gradually and yesterday gave him full doses

and he ate an entire hamburger. I was overjoyed. However, last night

he vomited and had severe diarhea. Had it again today. I haven't

given him any enzymes today. I tried to look through past posts and

think that I made the mistake of just giving him wheat as soon as I

started the enzymes. Could it possibly be yeast die-off too? I

haven't had him tested for that. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I'm just trying to help my (skinny) boy. Thanks!

HI, sorry your little guy is feeling so badly.

How long have you been giving the enzymes in all, and have you worked

up to one capsule (1/8 teaspoon) or 2 capsules (1/4 teaspoon) with

each meal. I wasn't sure when you said " doses " plural.

I have always thought that hamburgers set really heavy in my stomach,

so it may have been such a large amount of food sitting in his gut.

Are we talking about a kid's Mcdonald's burger or a homemade one or

what? Sorry to ask so much detail.

How is he doing now? My younger son did start eating a tremendous

amount more on enzymes but it didn't start until the 3rd week...then

he became ravenous and has been eating ever since (we are 8 months

now). He has also gained 8 pounds overall and looks healthy again.

I appreciate you asking all the questions! You cleared one thing up

right off the bat. I am using the powder and they told me to work him

up to 1/4 tsp per meal. I had started at 1/8 for about 1 week. Maybe

I should just keep it there? He had Mc's kid burger - I think

he was just thrilled to have one again. Do I need to be giving the

enzymes even when we are having gluten free meals? Poor thing didn't

eat at all today and developed some bad diaper rash. I think he's

gunshy! How old is your son? Is he PDD or something else? Any other

tips you can give me are greatly appreciated.
