Newbie:*) ???Podiatrist for hip pain???

Hi, my name is Cheyanne, newly diagnosed, 26, my info

follows... I am currently suffering more from hip pain

than fatigue but this varies. I also am on depakote

for my migraines and they have abated which is great!

For that reason I am feeling more optimistic than I

had in awhile.

My rheumatologist gave me an article about seeing a

podiatrist to possibly correct my balance and ease my

hip pain. Has anyone tried this? I figured it was

worth a shot.

What are the symptoms?

Hip pain, migraines, insomnia, fatigue...

Has you illness been diagnosed?

Yes.

How long did you suffer before you got help?

Six years.

Is there a time that you can remember when it started?

My hip pain started when I was twenty and has come and

gone ever since.

However I believe I got really sick around the time I

had a very severe bladder infection 18 months ago;

things seemed to spiral down from there.

Some of us have found lack of exercise we are

overweight. Have you

found this to be a problem also?

I definately lack exercise at this time and am

slightly overweight.

Are you on disability?

I am not on disability. However when I got pregnant

last year I was too sick to work (at two months

pregnant) and I quit my job. Now I am fortunate to

stay home with my son which is still lots of work, and

I am attending school part time though I miss lots of

class!

If you are any pointers for others trying to get on

disability?

What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm

baths, medications

etc.?

Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it?

Currently trying to regulate my sleeping pattern...

Do you have family that understands your illness?

Only my Mom understands, because although undiagnosed,

she has many of the same symptoms.

Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS

or Fibro, have

you?

What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you

the most?

So far my rheumatologist has helped the most, mainly

in giving me a diagnosis, although my pcp also said

that Fibro was probably what it was.
