I looked up each ingredient and it sounds like 'the cream' may be a winner. The ingredients you listed did only add up to a small percentage, but in most creams like that, a large percentage has to be a certain type of cream that 'carries' the meds and helps them be absorbed. The Pharmist knows what the 'extra' should be, so the Dr. doesn't have to write it down. I'm not a professional, so my interpretation sounds....unprofessional, as IT IS. I was inspired by your info on the cream so decided to mix a little Orajel (numbing gel for teeth and gums) with the Joint Flex (cream off the shelf) that I've been using. Think I sound crazy??? Well this disease IS crazy! Anyway, I believe the Orajel made the Joint Flex work better!!! I know this sounds desparate, but I'm sure everyone reading this can relate to being in absolute pain during the night. I rubbed the Orajel in first and then rubbed the Joint Flex in. There was such a relief that I just sat still on the sofa afraid to move, fearing that moving would start the pain again. Now that I know that I can get a little relief by rubbing numbing gel in with a 'arthritis cream', I'm going to pay a visit to my doctor and insist that he have the Pharmist do a little mixing using the ingredients you listed. I truly believe that we have to help ourselves because there's too many quacks out there that could care less. Maybe we have a little help in the form of your 'cream'. So, many thanks to you. Will let you know if my doctor comes up with something different. So far though, he isn't very helpful!!! hugs Deb > > > >
