Guest guest Posted February 9, 2004 Report Share Posted February 9, 2004 Dear Farmworker Health Colleagues: The North Carolina Primary Health Care Association (NCPHCA) invites you to submit abstracts for possible presentation at the 17th Annual East Coast Migrant Stream Forum, to be held at the Hilton St. sburg, in St. sburg, Florida, October 21-23, 2004. Begun by NCPHCA in 1988, the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is the premier gathering of migrant health professionals and farmworker advocates on the east coast that offers training in order to enhance cultural competence and improve health care delivery to migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Through a multi-disciplinary program of workshops and networking opportunities, attendees hear from experts in the field about the most recent trends in migrant health, learn about exceptional best practices and cutting-edge research, as well as discover the latest farmworker health resources and services. Using the attached Abstract Submission Form, submit an abstract by April 1, 2004 that demonstrates an innovative practice or model in expanding health care services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in six key areas: 1) research 2) outreach/health education 3) lay health promotion 4) policy/advocacy 5) clinical 6) programmatic/administrative This form and other general conference information, applications, and updates can be viewed at: www.ncphca.org.
