Guest guest
Hello Everyone! I just joined this group this morning and sent in the post with responses requested by the moderator. I wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know that FIBRO is an illness to be taken seriously. I'm Charlene, 51 Y.O., live in the Midwest, specifically, west of Chicago. Have 2 cats and one dog and live with my fiance! I also have diabetes II and high blood pressure and have had (not anymore) acid reflux. I have not been diagnosed with Fibro; however I'm pretty sure I have it. My symptoms are: blurred vision, although I was attributing that to my diabetes; or being at my computer too long and staring at the screen! :0 In addition, at least once or twice a week I have bowel problems, nagging headaches, dry eyes, joint pain (it could be a different part of my body that aches another day), occasional dizziness, short term memory lapses or forgetfulness, sleeping problems such as not sleeping through the night OR sleeping just about the whole day sometimes, not feeling refreshed. I was thinking it was due to my perimenopause not being able to sleep through the night! Oh, I've noticed loss of hair and do not know if that could be a symptom of Fibro or just that I'm getting old. I'm also photosensitive meaning if I am out in the sun too long, I feel drained and exhausted afterwards. Some more background, I was married to someone who was emotionally and physically abusive and have suffered with depression. I am overweight and when I try to exercise, I feel WORSE! I just need to hear some of your thoughts about Fibro or CFS. I have a doctor's appointment next Friday the 28th and I am going to lay it on the line and see if my complaints are valid. I know I'm not crazy! I am not going to let this defeat me -- I have a positive attitude and welcome all comments! Also, what is the difference between both, Fibro and CFS? I am all ears! What do you all do when you have a flareup? Thanks for listening! Have the best day ever! Charlene aka Char
