I was just looking for information on Post Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disorder (PTLD), and I came across an interesting article, which concluded that in lymphoma the cancer cells can actually transform other kinds of T cells into Treg cells, thereby giving the lymphoma an " immune privileged " environment. It occurred to me that if we could figure out how the cancer cells manage to do this, then maybe we could restore the balance in these other diseases and allergies by converting some of the T cells to Treg cells. If you are interested in the article, the abstract is here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18814264?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEn\ trez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum athan
