Guest guest
Did she start out gfcf? I started Peptizyde myself, without being gfcf, and I lost 45 pounds in 4 months. Major withdrawal, not fun. Do you give a full capsule with each meal? How old is she? Was she overweight to begin with? I would recommend you give 1/2 capsule of Peptizyde and Zyme Prime, and 1/4 capsule of No-Fenol, [or lower if this is the dosing you are currently giving] with *every* meal, for a week and see if that is better for her. Dana > My daughter has been on the three HNI enzymes for the past few months for breakfast and dinner. She has lost weight steadily also for a few months. She just feels that she does not feel hungry to eat that much and she refuses to eat any visible fats. She has lost about 15 lbs in about three/four months. There was one incidence of blood in stool in Feb. this year, but later it was fine with stool tests. She has low blood counts and low free T3. > > Any possible link? Guest guest
This is very unusual, most persons gain weight on enzymes, especially if underweight. You might try backing off the Peptizyde and see if that doesn't perk up her appetite. Sometimes higher amino acid levels can have a negative feedback on hunger signals. If her weight loss continues, have her checked out by a pediatrician, just to rule out any other possibilities. Guest guest
What else is happening besides the weight loss? Behaviorally and physically? What about mood? And what type of diet has she been on? This will give a better idea of what may be happening. Enzymes in general tend to regulate weight, so you loose weight only if your were too heavy before. If too light before, then you put on weight/muscle, and others just stay the same. thank you, . My daughter has been on the three HNI enzymes for the past few months for breakfast and dinner.
