Guest guest
Hi there everyone! This is Lil and I am new to the site. I have hypothyroid due to partial removal of my thyroid when I was 15 and hyperthyroid. I have been on Synthyroid since and I am now in my early forties. I have become more and more aware of my health because I am getting older and I finally realize that I really need to address my condition. I know I am not get the proper testing (TSH) and medication (Synthroid). I have so many symptoms of hypo and I have been told my TSH level are normal. I have just bought Shomon's book a learned a lot. I can't believe the most of the medical community is so clueless. I know I really need to educate myself and be proactive in my health care. I live in the LOS ANGELES AREA, and I was hoping to get a referral for a GOOD DOCTOR. Any suggestions?
Guest guest
You might want to ask if they keep a cancellation list. Even if they don't, sometimes they will allow you to call in and check for cancellations. When they hear from you enough, they will probably know you are serious and try to get you in. If he is good, he is worth the wait. I have been to enough inadequate and bad doctors to know that ... and am still looking for the right person. But good luck.
