Guest guest
I am now 5 weeks and 4 days post op and doing a lot better. Whoever told me to think of progress in weeks instead of how I am from day to day is one smart cookie. I got up this morning and took the big kids to a church activity (I drove and didn't need a cane or anything either) and then came home and spent a couple hours cleaning the house. I felt fine too until I sat down and stopped moving, lol. Still my pain is not really much of an issue I just get overwhelming waves of nausea. I still take some pain medications but am slowly tapering off of them. I long for the day to be pain med free. :-) One of my favorite things is the TENS unit that the physical therapist gave me. It works wonderfully. I also get massage 3 times a week at physical therapy and hopefully they will be able to work out all the bands out of my muscles in my neck and shoulders. So, I think this is what normal feels like. Who knows, and what is normal anyway, lol. I can definately tell a difference from this week and last. I'm excited. My liver is doing okay as well I guess. I haven't stopped itching since I had the surgery but it is better. I have to get some other blood work done so I will get my LFT's checked this week sometime as well to see how those are doing. Next week is spring break at college so horray for a legitimate excuse to not study statistics THAT hard, lol.
