My name is Lua Fisher. This is my " other " email address. I

discovered something that changed my life. I was SO happy. I wanted

to let everyone in the world know, and thought - what better way than

to tell other people who have hurt for as long or longer than I have

than to find fibro's online?

It seems, however, that I made a mistake. I assumed other people

didn't want to be in pain any more than I did. But, as one of my

correspondents said, " some people become their illness. " It must be

more important to be the moderator of a fibromyalgia list than it is

to get well - and to listen to stories of 'ain't it awful' than it is

to find a way to get well.

The moderators of this list have chosen to place me on 'moderated'

status. This is absurd, hostile, and closed-minded. I was not rude,

vindictive, crass, critical, or belittling. I accidentally posted a

letter that was intended as a response to a direct question to one

individual, and immediately apologized when I discovered the error.

By acting with such haste to stop any possibility of continued

dialogue on what might have been an educational process, is to make a

loud and definitive statement of your priorities -

1.first and foremost to be in control,

2. second to make sure that the members of this list hear only your

perspective and only your 'ain't it awful' stories, and

3. third to make absolutely certain that this fibro list NEVER

becomes a list where people might be able to leave it through the

process of getting well.

It is unnecessary to respond to me since I have already 'unsubbed'

from my other address and will do so from this one as soon as this is

posted. I don't need to waste my time on such small-minded

pettiness. I have too much joy to experience in my new-found pain-

free life. In fact, the only reason I'm bothering to write this

letter at all is a simple matter of pride. How dare you? How dare

you consider yourself such a judge of character?
