Guest guest
Reggie, Thank you so much for posting this and reminding people that PSC symptoms, fatigue and all that Wim is riding for us. For those who have time, you can follow his story at the website Reggie lists below. For any donations, please make your check out to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure and mail to: Citizens Tri-County Bank Attn. Angie P.O. Box 520 Tullahoma, TN 37388Thank you so much for everyone in this family doing what they can to support our "Itching for a Cure , Road to Chicago" fundraisers. It is so very important now that we have the research proposals coming in to fund. With research we will get a better treatment for PSC and someday a transplant may not be necessary for ourselves or loved ones. I try not to post fundraising news too often but I do want to let our new members know that there is a way to ease their heartache and fears.I know first hand that working with PSC Partners to help present and future PSC patients has given me back perspective, focus and hope. Something I had lost when my son was diagnosed. Who would have thought that this PSC support group would mature as it has and offer so much comfort to so many? Who would have thought in just 4 years that Partners would be supporting research into a disease that got little or no attention?Who would have thought that over 150 people would be coming to learn about the latest in PSC at our conferences? The numbers are growing and so are we, education is empowering and to have a release for the hopelessness is priceless. It isn't too late, come join us in Chicago if at all possible.Join us in beating this disease by helping ourselves so that others will want to help us.Please participate in the future of PSC treatment and donate what ever amount you are comfortable with to any of our fundraisers. Thanks so very much,Lee BriaFeel free to email me privately with any questions, comments or suggestions. Dear PSC Family, For those of you who don't know one of our own, Wim Ruyten, is taking part in bringing awareness to PSC and raising research dollars for "Itching for a Cure: Road to Chicago" by riding his bicycle from his home in Tullahoma, Tennessee to Chicago. He will begin this very challenging journey on April 23, 2009 and complete it on May 1st in Chicago. He will cover 512 miles!!! He has already started training and it has not been easy. Wim has taken on this challenge for all PSCers. You can visit his website at: www.euclideanoptics.com/Chicago/index.htm where you can learn about Wim and his bike ride. There is also a link where a tax deductible contribution can be made in support of Wim's bike ride. All the proceeds will go the to the"Itching for a Cure: Road to Chicago" fundraiser. Let's all join together and show our support and gratitude to Wim. Thanks,Reggie
