The 14th Annual Midwest Farmworker Stream Forum announces its

"CALL FOR ABSTRACTS"

On behalf of the National Center for Farmworker Health, Inc., you are

invited to submit an ABSTRACT for presentation by June 11, 2004 for

the 14th Annual Midwest Farmworker Stream Forum- Creating a New Horizon

in Farmworker Healthcare to be held November 18-20, 2004 in Denver,

Colorado. The Midwest Farmworker Stream Forum develops and evolves

each year with the demands of current issues. Diversity and incorporating

innovative training techniques are highly valued. We recognize the need for

scientific data related to farmworkers so we engage with and encourage the

participation of our academic colleagues and researchers. We value and benefit

from the services of lay educators and outreach workers who enter the homes

and lives of the farmworkers. We strive to support our clinicians and clinical

staff with expert training in the best practices for their field. Innovative

instruction in management is provided for those leading the health center

workforce. We include policy and regulation as a significant component that

can, at times, lead us to the very root of a problem or solution. A highly

unique quality of the Stream Forum is the inclusion of a Bi-national perspective,

so professionals from our neighboring countries are an integral part of the

design and presentation of the sessions. This holistic focus provides the

infrastructure to allow for attendees and presenters to meet at several levels

and build a diverse network that enables a fascinating exchange of ideas

while encouraging growth and change.

This conference is open to anyone to attend interested in learning more about

the farmworker population and the health concerns surrounding them. CEUs

in several disciplines are provided. For your convenience, the abstract form

is attached, and if you would like more information, please visit www.ncfh.org or call (800) 531-5120 x. 5459.
