Does MS need to be ruled out as a possible diagnosis?

I am joining this group for my wife who is 58 and been suffering

from the symptoms for at least 8 years. She has never been without

pain one day in that time, and has had bouts that landed her in the

hospital for as much as 9 days on Dilaudid and Morphine with little

relief. Is it important for her to have a brain MRI to rule out MS?
