Kansas-there isn't any heavy lifting!! Home health aides do the majority of

the heavy work, mostly just check on people and do an assessment, change

dressings and contact the doctor when needed--once in a while a blood draw,

but alot of time spent in the car, which gets to me more than anything. I

love it so much that if I won the lottery, i'd volunteer my time, and still

do the job, if I didn't have my job, I think i'd become suicidal--some days,

I feel so horrible that if I didn't have to get out of bed, I

wouldn't.....but, if I know that I have to get up as they need me more than

I need to lay in bed. And I always feel better when I get home. AND you

can be sure that I never doubt my patients when they tell me they are in

pain--sometimes they don't look like their in pain, but then I don't either!

I wish that I could fight with my own doctor the way I fight with my

patients doctors sometimes about the need for pain relief!
