Guest guest
Figured Id do a short intro, since I sorta just jumped in there on that last post! HA! I am 28 yr old female in florida, married with a 12 yr old girl, diagnosed with FMS last August, after of course, the usual jumping thru hoops to find anyone worth their salt to run tests, etc I am a veterinary technician, trying to go part time from 40-50+ hours a week. A very laborious job it is, and at this time it is the biggest stressor in my life...going part time is a huge deal, because for 2 years I have been at that 50+, even after diagnosis, and am no longer " reliable " due to " crashes " , but still am unable to go part time. First it was we didnt have enough people. So the boss hired some. Now, I have to be there to relieve for lunches. And after hours surgeries (which usually end at about 10pm, after I am there since 7- 9am)...anyhoo.... I came across the list yesterday, coming home early for not feeling well, and joined. I had a small amount of time to check over posts (and great ones they are you guys rock for support system!! *smile*), and today I left work after grooming (yes, I tech AND groom...ARGH!) to go to the doctor for " swishy sounds " in my head. YEt ANOTHER sinus infection...(I never had them before, this is my 4th this year) Which brings up the question. I have noticed that right before a flare, I get what seems to be a systemic infection. Urine, sinus and skin. IS this just me? Also, I have pains in my deltoids all the time...I used to think it was all the lifting and fighting big dogs we are required to do (I am 120lb, restraining and lifting dogs, often by myself, up to 120 lb), but now I know it is FMS...and when I flare, I can actually feel my muscles turn to what I call... " cement " . It seems they harden, but it is all feeling, not actual constricting. BUT. If I am bitten or scratched, which happens often, I do not feel the pain as I did before I started having FMS symptoms. It is almost nonexistant..I have tested myself for " surface " pain, by pinching, ad I do not feel the stinging/sharpness, only pressure. This happens in OR out of a flare. Argh...whatta way to intro myself! Anyhoo...I have a lot of respect and feel I know you guys from your posts, already...such a great supportive group! Gentle hugs and peaceful sleep...
