HI again all. Thanks for your kind words. I am glad to be back. it's

been rough. Now I got two lawyers trying to get my job back, and I

just had my ovarian cyst surgery moved up to May 13th. The pain was

so much worse, so I went to see my gyn. It was a horrible exam, I

was rushed in, got a very painful pelvic (after she said it would be

gentle), was told it's just the same, it's there, nothing you can do

til surgery, now get dressed and here's some vicodin! Ugh. I wasn't

even given anything to clean up with, and the pain and nausea were

so bad, I'd lost my appetite, I was worried about my appendix

because the pain was different than my cyst pain, but she spent all

of five minutes with me and cut me off after I started to say well,

the pain has become worse and- Thanks for nothing doc!

I have questions about the surgery. My doctor said the laproscopic

surgery is a day surgery and I can leave that day. Well my family

doctor told me that surgery makes fibro worse for some days

afterwards, the aches will get worse, the fatigue, etc. She also

said I may have to stay in the hospital for more than one day??

Worse yet I have to go off all my pain meds a few days before due to

the bleeding? Has anyone encountered worse fibro flares after an

operation? I don't really have anyone to take care of me, though my

mom is coming for the day of the operation.

PS: For the person on zoloft, I am taking it too and it has really

saved me. I am calmer and more ready to tackle problems. Most

importantly I no longer obsess over my symptoms or my medical

phobia. I still sometimes feel overwhelmed, but I don't let it put

me in bed or make me cry or anything. My only side effects have been

experiencing some dizziness and added sleepiness after I moved up to

the 50 mg.
