Manager - Cultural Relations- # 20852

Hood River, OR; Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital; Marketing &

Communications Department. This position is responsible for the management

of interpretive services, cultural and language education for staff,

community outreach to the Hispanic community and coordination of diversity

related activities within the Gorge Service Area. While the position focuses

primarily on the needs of our Hispanic patient population, it is also

accountable to ensure that all patients, regardless of race or cultural

background are provided with the support and information they need for a

respectful and high-quality patient experience.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Languages, International

Relations or other related field.

Three or more years pogressively responsible supervisory experience is

preferred.

Must be bi-lingual/bi-cultural in written and spoken Spanish.

Certification as a medical interpreter required (may be obtained within 3

months of filling the position).

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a variety

of community organizations and customers.Supervises on-call Interpretive

staff to include hiring, performance management, scheduling and termination

needs. Ensures immediate availability of interpretive services to meet

patient care requirements.

Wage Range: Minimum $19.06 Maximum $ 28.58
