Guest guest
Hi to the group. I hope everyone is having a relatively painfree Friday. I want to say welcome to all the new members who have popped up in the past few days. This is the best group you could ever find. , you are not the only male in here, so i hope you don't feel outnumbered by all of us women. Dana, I read your post, and I completely sympathize. I was where you are about a month ago. I'm doiong ok right now, thanks to finally getting some help from my doctor. I don't feel my flare is easing at all, but I'm on enough medicine now to manage it pretty well. Ok, I need to vent slightly. On Wednesday night, while working with a horse, I had my nose broken. Like I need this on top of everything else! I really shouldn't complain, because there are worse things that could be broken. At least your nose doesn't move much. Although I'm living in fear of sneezing. I'm just so mad though. I'm used to getting odd injuries from horses(usually not bad ones, and usually not very often). That's what happens when you work with young, green (don't know anything) horses. But why now? I need this like I need a hole in my head. And to make matters worse, now my nose is crooked. CROOKED!!! My doctor wants to wait to see if the bone will settle in the correct place when the swelling goes down, otherwise he'll send me to a plastic surgeon to have it fixed. So there's something else I have to worry about. If my nose heals crooked, do I put myself through the misery of surgery, just for the sake of vanity? I just am not having a good time right now. Thanks for listening everyone. I appreciate it. Take care,

Guest guest
Dear , I'm sorry about your nose; I broke mine years ago, went through surgery, only to have re-broken it before " the cement was dry " !! LOL I've lived w/ a crooked nose since; the doc said no more surgery (I was 12 & it was dangerous). But the great thing about it was, if someone was " in my face " (as a teen), I'd say, " See this nose? Well, you should have seen her face!! " I know too about working w/ green horses, but I also know horses are a fever, and quitting is just not an option! So take care!!
