Today is the 4 week mark. I guess I am doing pretty well for 4 weeks after having brain surgery. I am feeling better and able to do more. I still can't lift more than 10 pounds, which is fine by me. I don't really have headaches unless I have been up too much. And the headaches are different. My neck is still sore and healing and I think that once my neck is healed I will not have headaches. How awesome would that be!?!?!?

I started physical therapy this week. I will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I went Monday at 4 and it was great. He put some electrodes one for 12 minutes with a heat pack. Then he useds some infrared ultrasound like machine and then my favorite part...massage. :-) It was helpful and I think that it will help heal some of the nerve damage that has been done.

About half of my symptoms are gone. Others have improved and some are still the same. But for only 4 weeks, I think that is great. I will go see Dr Oro on April 6th for my 2 month follow up appointment.

In other news, lol, I started back at getting my college degree. Before this stuff started to rule over my life I was in college working towards and associates of science degree so that I could transfer and eventually become a doctor. I have 5 more credits to get my associates degree. I am taking the final 2 credits of statistics this semester and will take college algebra this summer. FUN! (not) I will take classes this fall as well. I am just going to go part time until the twins are in school.

I am also starting to plan out my Chiari support group and how I am going to tell people about Chiari. I actually got an email from a person locally and that made me feel wonderful. I know that everything happens for a reason and that with all the stuff I have been going through I will be able to help others. So if anyone reading this has started a support group or non profit organization email me if you have time if you have any tips.

Lastly, thanks for all the cards I have gotten the past 2-3 weeks. It is excited going and seeing a blue, pink, orange, yellow, etc peice of mail instead of a white envelope from the Medica Office of ....... lol.

(((((((((((hugs and love to everyone))))))))))))))))
