Guest guest
The UC has reared its ugly head, pardon the pun, after eleven months of being kept at bay. Fred thought he could squash the uprising with daily VSL #3 and an extra dose of SAM-e, along with his Asacol, but the UC (U. of Crap) team seems to be winning. Dr. prescribed prednisone; this is his second round in a year. Dr. appt. tomorrow. Keeping him hydrated is most important thing right now. He loses weight faster than Sandi Pearlman when he has a flare up! Seriously, I've seen him lose 9 lbs. in a day. I know several of you on this board have been on rounds of prednisone. One silver lining is he'll definitely have more energy. Good thing - he's now well into June in his Soduku a Day calendar and he might feel good enough to try another activity. (And no - it won't be Facebook. Fred's not an " in your Facebook " kind of guy.) Wife of Fred, PSC 03/04, UC 03/
