Guest guest
in response to Donna's question about water, you are very right about the contaminants in our water as we now have to worry about the food and air... for those who can afford reverse osmosis the literature suggests it to be the best but most wasteful. in looking for a whole house filter my husband could not justify the waste and we installed the Young Living Waters of Life system as our christmas present to each other. we had the plumber run a bypass so our outside water for the yard is not filtered but I chose to filter the bath water and even the laundry so the chlorine is not in the fabric we wear against our skin or the moisture we breathe in the shower let alone sit in the tub and soak up... studies I've read say that chlorine can " shut down the thyroid " or make it not work as well which can cause fatigue, lower metabolism, symptoms of low thyroid...there are lots of articles on the internet plus this filter gets out the very small bacteria, viruses, chemicals and pollutants. some germs are very difficult to kill as we find more antibiotic resistant ones on the rise I use therapeuctic grade essential oils to kill germs in our air (in a diffuser) and water since they do not become resistant to germs. they are just a plant extract so the body work with them where synthetic drugs and cheap essential oils are not as easily assimilated and sometimes are toxic or stored in the fat of the body. I like EO's also because they pull out the garbage, they are researched to help clean the receptor site of the cell to allow better function of the neurotransmitters. I have a small water faucet on my kitchen sink that has a bag of essential oil in it so the kids can get lemon or peppermint water easily plus its filtered. our dishes come really clean and the laundry too. I use soaps with an essential oil that kills germs naturally but does not have all the chemicals we don't want in our linens or underwear. a pure lemon essential oil will also kill germs in the water but you have to be very careful its pure. not many stores carry them if they are trying to make a profit. the better stuff costs more to produce. distilled water may be okay if you know its free of contaminants. its scarey to read about water we buy in the store may not be as pure as we think since the regulations are not as tight. our krogers and biggs has a fill your own reverse osmosis tank we used to use. it got to be a hassle washing jugs to take, you must use one that only had water in it, never a juice or milk jug, they could have traces of bacteria if not washed well which is almost impossible. we just bought water jugs to refill. so our flavored filtered water is easier to use and we drink more since it tastes so much better. I use the lemon water to make up our juice or tea as well. I found a G'day herbal tea I love even without sugar and NEVER use nutrasweet if you read what it really does. so now that you are saturated with info, I hope you can find what works for you!
