Guest guest
Darcy-I also will NEVER try a vegetarian diet again. I have tried it several times in the past 20 years, for months at a time, and I end up very sick. Not because I didn't mix my carbs & beans correctly. But because of the high fiber--for me vegatarian diet is equal to a slow, painful death. Well, not so slow as my stomach and intestines would rupture and i'd die pretty fast! For me a high-fat, high-protein diet is the way that I feel best. I am not obese, my cholesterol is fine, my blood sugar is way low ALL the time. Good genes maybe? I grow some of my own meat and I know it has no antibiotics or hormones in it that way. I had read that for some neurological disorders such as MS, that they were experimenting with a high fat diet to try and rebuild or repair the fatty myelin sheaths that have been destroyed by the MS. Prednisone--I put that on my list of drugs to never, ever take again! I became very angry, and am sure that I could've gotten a gun and shot ANYBODY! I knew that something was wrong, and I locked myself in the bedroom, until I settled down. I believe that I may have had a reaction called steroid induced psychosis! I've been looking for treatment for my FMS for 19 years...1/2 my life, and I do think that the FMS gets worse over time.....or I mind it more, or I lose the will to work through the pain, but, they say it isn't supposed to get worse....but, I think in my case it definitely has. The flares are worse and more frequent, the fatigue is worse, the pain is worse, the fog is foggier, the bowels are more irritable, I can't think of one way that things have stayed the same! kmnewberry@... _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
