Guest guest
On the news today, we learned that Hurricane Frances has gained strength to a Cat.3 already and it is far from land. The projected path is the same as Charley so far. Of course, it's early, but hurricanes tend to follow the same paths during one season. Many have done that in the past. Anyway, we Floridians are no where near ready to take another hit.. anywhere in the state. Every single house and business has huge piles of debris piled in the parkways awaiting pickup. They have already told us it will be months. My mother still doesn't have cable and many are still without power. The recovery hasn't even started yet.. people are only getting back to normal. With Charley, most of the damage on the inland was to trees as we have lots of big ones. Being in one big piece, most just came down by the roots and many missed homes. Now, those same big trees are in huge pieces cut up by the curb. If another storm comes now, those will surely become missles and take out what is left of the city. PLEASE, PLEASE pray that this hurricane will turn north and go out to sea. ( Although, if that happens, Bermuda will need the prayers badly.) If this thing keeps growing, no matter who gets it will see devastation. They are already predicting it could very well be a Cat. 5. That is what was in 1992 and the state is just finishing closing the book on the damages, believe it or not. Those of us here can only wait and pray.. and we earnestly ask for yours, too. We can't handle another hit anytime soon. If so, Florida will be destroyed for sure. Sunny
