Guest guest
I'm putting a group together for my last FM class and wish to extend an invitation to you all as well. I appreciate your helpful support. FM-CFS-HolisticSupport In regards to the massage issues, I'm a nurse who went back to massage school 20 years after college (makes me sound old)I've had FM for 10 years, since a nursing home dumped sewage down the hill to my yard and we didn't know the rainwater was so dangerous. in massage school we learned: that blood only flows through a muscle when you are USING it OR getting a massage otherwise, it goes AROUND it so think how often we don't use a muscle and it gets sore but then when you use a muscle there are micro traumas which are normal that are supposed to heal when we sleep, but, we don't have restful sleep, our stage 4 can have alpha (more awake) brain waves so we don't produce the healing effects of other people (don't say normal-we are normal people who just have other challenges!) plus, the body needs oxygen in the Krebs cycle or it produces lactic acid (sore muscles!) so if we don't breathe well we limit how effecient our body can be plus hydration is important to flush out waste by-products or they recirculate. If you take a new supplement but have a toxic colon, as the supplement tries to work it is not as well absorbed, things must leave the body that are no longer needed or it becomes a bag of stagnant fluids-yuk. Massage helps the muscles eliminate by-products of metabolism so a good deep massage may cause a detox or secondary fatigue if the person is not well hydrated or in poor condition. More fatty tissue holds more stores of waste or toxins. Drinking lots of water BEFORE and After helps, starting slow, even if it feels like a person is not massage very hard, its better than too hard if your body is not ready for it. The best massage technique we learned was Lymphatic Drain-age, I even took a 4 day course to learn more. My own pain levels went from an 6-8 to a 2 at the end of the course just from us working on each other. You can look up Lympahtic Drain info on the net. Dr Bruno with Upledger is supposed to be one of the best in the field. A person can learn to do LD on themself too. I teach my kids to " pump " behind the collar bones to help pump the lymph which is stagnat unless muscles move it with activity or massage. Otherwise it just sits and is like a stagnate body of water...things grow that are not that pleasant. So flush and squeeze for a cleaner internal environment! For the gentleman going to school to help his wife...my family loved being my homework and I was able to teach my husband so he could help me in parts I could not reach and get enough pressure like the back. And human touch helps the brain release the feel good hormones we need. I started using a better quality massage base with a few drops of JOY or PanAway and my kids allergies got better, their teen skin cleared and their grades went up. It was such a surprise to look back and see how I was able to help them while learning to help myself. A good EO will also help take more oxygen into the blood as it does in the plant which also helps reduce the fatigue factors. Now my kids won't let me forget their evening rub down. They let me know when they are sore from sports and I'll see them helping a friend too. Be sure you use synthetic free products on your wife and clients. A student in our class used cheap cocoa butter lotion when she worked on us and we all broke out not knowing how important it was to insist on better more healthy oils or cremes. I teach people simple scented cremes to make without chemicals and had my whole class asking to use mine. If you do start to break out it can also be just the body detoxing through the skin. MorningStart bathgel helped us clear up the outbreak plus it smells great with no harmful ingredients. You can treat a special friend to a massage with the beautiful smell of Genesis lotion, even a foot rub is helpful for FM clients. Have fun and find what works for you!
