Dear Lupie Members,

It has been a terribly stressful time for me. Having no money. Not being able to work. Not feeling like doing anything but just being a slug. My doctor increased my antidepressants and I've been feeling so much better. I know that I can finally ... live now. My doctor called me and said that all my lab work came back good.

I was also informed that I was putting out 4 grams of protein two months ago and now I'm only putting out 1.5 grams! Yay for me! The Cytoxan is finally working! I'm glad that I'm not just losing my hair for nothing. Ha.

This morning I had an appointment with my lawyer for my disability case. He told me, "The hearing judge called me. We were debated whether you were disabled or not. We're no longer debating. The judge has agreed that you ARE disabled. He declared you disabled from September 8, 2003. If you feel that you were disabled longer than that then this will go to court and the judge may change his mind. Do you need time to think about this or do you want to decide now?"

LOL! There was nothing to think about. I told him that after I got fired from my job on September 8th that's when I really started getting sick. I told him that that date is fine. He said that he's going to send me a letter in the mail that I need to sign. I have to give them the consent to start my benefits and that I agree with the judge's decision. * Sigh *

Yay for me! I told my Mom as soon as I got off the phone. She was looking so worried. I told her, "I've won my disability, Mama.' And I didn't even have to go to court. She gave me the biggest hug and we were jumping up and down crying and yelling, 'I'm disabled!' Then I stopped to think about what I was saying.

Wow. I'm disabled. I'll never be able to get that high paying job I wanted in computers to build my house from the ground and get my luxury car. I'm disabled. I'm going through chemotherapy and that lessens if not alleviates my chance to ever birth a child of my own. It's as if my dreams are gone. I'm disabled. Yay for me.
