Guest guest
I have been diagnosed with this about eight times, do not have it, as was confirmed again, on colonoscopy; I just needed to up my Aciphex (similar to Prevacid) and adjust my enzymes more carefully. I do not have it, never did, probably never will, but doctors who do not know cf can make that assumption, which is why colonos copay and MRI may be so important, so as not to make a mistake. After all, even if one did have a realtive with ulcerative colitis (I do not have one), that relative most likely did not have cystic fibrosis. I had, as I have mentioned, endoscopy, which con firmed Barrett's esophagitis, and some of those signs and symptoms can mimic both colitis and crohn's disease.
