Guest guest
I think it depends where they put it Eilish has her's into her chest, and has little red dots, very very tiny. But in her arms she has no marks. Re: Question about PICC LINE I have a question. When my daughter had her picc line but in last April she has a bump there still. Will that ever go away? Guest guest
My son has a scar from his picc line from his time in the NICU. HE also has a scar from a regular IV he had 6 months ago. > I think it depends where they put it Eilish has her's into her chest, > and has little red dots, very very tiny. Guest guest
I am quite sure that it depends on the child... Mallory has several of those " bumps " from picc lines...and since she has had her port 3 years...those picc lines were more than 3 yrs ago! doesn't seem to have the bumps from his piccs, but he does have a scar from where the radiologist attempted to do a cutdown in his upper arm (I am still fuming about this) Of course, scars are just that.... ironically, the scars in their necks are no longer visible AT ALL (from the cutdown when they put their ports in) and the ones on their rib cages where they put in the port are also very visible. So I think this must have something to do with the skill of the surgeon and making the cut...since the cutdown on 's arm was not done by a surgeon (nor was asleep) and it is more obvious than the tiny incisions on their necks. Hope this helps. Jen > > I think it depends where they put it Eilish has her's into her > chest, > > and has little red dots, very very tiny.
