I have been there!

First, I don't think it is asking too much to ask visitors to wash

their hands before holding the baby.

I also think your older daughter is just the right age (and her

friends, too) to start learning to wash their hands when they come

in, before they eat, after using the restroom.

The trick is not obsessing, which I did for awhile.

It will ease up as you adjust, but certain habits are good to learn,

and now looks like a good time for your family to learn them!

I found my son's friends to be quite cooperative. They were 5-6 when

Philip was born.

Your paranoia will decrease and yes, this is very normal.
