Guest guest
Graham (16 months)had his endoscopies today with an awesome peds GI (I love her!). Anyway, she (and me too, I was in the room) did see some mild lymphonodular hyperplasia in his colon. I fully expected to see this as I knew he had inflammatory issues. It was no where near as bad as some of the photos I'd seen in some of Dr Krigsman's presentations, so I was relieved. I'm sure it would have looked much worse 2 months ago when we were just starting SCD. Anyway, to my question: Since he still does have some inflamation, how long should we wait to intro the dairy products, specifically yougurt? Secondly, when starting yougurt, do I need to give enzymes every time he gets the yougurt to counteract the effects of the casein? So far, we've been unable to give him an enzymes as they seem to realy irritate his intestines. Thank you! a PS- Our peds GI is a fan of SCD and we truly believe it has saved his life. I'm so thankful for this diet!
