CALL FOR PAPERS

The Editorial Committee of the journal " Politica y Cultura " invites all

investigators in the areas of social science and humanities to submit proposals

for papers to be published in the edition No. 23 (spring 2005). Such papers

should be included in any of the themes of this issue, maintain the guidelines

established in the document " Requirements for Publications " and delivered to the

Director or sent by e-mail to the journal no later than

May 31st, 2004 (polcul@...).

General Theme: New Dimensions of Migration

Objectives: The papers should analyze the structure and meaning of migration;

to explore its origins, development, drivers and consequences; to evaluate the

impact of migratory movements in migrants' regions of origin and destination; to

explore the historic key role of migration for social movements and

multiculturalism within and between countries.

Theme Lines:

.. Political, economic, religious and military drivers of migration

.. Legal and illegal migrations at national and international scale

.. National and international policies dealing with migratory movements

.. Migration and human rights

.. Economic, political, social and cultural impacts of migration

Furthermore and in accordance with the editorial guidelines of our journal, we

will receive proposals for articles in mathematics applied to social science and

humanities, as well as reviews and interviews.
