Guest guest
Noah has decided that he likes jello, but of coarse there is not much in that in the way of cals and fat. So i would love some ideas. He is very picky so i can not alter it to much or he probably won't eat it. Thanks in advance. mom of Breanna 10.5 wocf and Noah 2.5 wcf
Guest guest
Hi , When was about that age, I would buy whipping cream (the liquid kind before it is whipped into cream). It is in the dairy case by the milk and sour cream. There is a lot of fat in it and calories too. You can make pudding with it, add a couple of tablespoons to his regular milk, on oatmeal, etc. We also used it in milkshakes and smoothies! It makes great banana shakes. Also, another good food is avocados sliced up....loaded with the good kind of fat. We also eat many 'ants on a log' snacks.......which are tender celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins sprinkled on top. Good luck! Guest guest
If you don't want to change the taste much but you want to add some calories, make the jello with gatorade. They make lime, orange and strawberry clear gatorade now and I have substituted it in jello and found it still sets up fine. The only problem is making sure you add them to a flavor of jello they compliment. Now if I could only get Emma to eat jello ... oh well, I tried this and it tasted good to me. - mom to Emma 2 years w/cf and Isabelle 4 years wo/cf ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
