è You got me!!! What is an EDG?? Your description is

è perfect of my

è sysmptoms except mine appear to random.

Dear Brett,

An EDG is an endoscopy. It is a procedure where they use a scope to look at

your esophagus and stomach. I could be wrong, but I don't think they go as

far as the intestine. For most people it is the first thing a GI will do

when seeing you, as most people wind up seeing a GI for heartburn, Gerd,

reflux. An ERCP is very similar in methods and instruments, except they go

further in with the ERCP and use dye to look at the duct structure. Here is

a good website that talks about the procedure: http://www

..sages.org/pi_egd.html. If you need any more information, please let me

know. I had about a dozen EDGs in a year & a half. Three of them with the

dilation at the surgery site to help with my swallowing problems. Which I

still have... just not as bad.....

Lots of Gentle Hugs,

ReeAnn

Thanks Reeann

Yep I have had one of those. Only thing they could find is was an

increase in the inflamation in my stomach. That was nearly 18mths

ago, sounds like I need to re-visit this again with my Dr.

Thanks very much
