Guest guest
I passed on the strawberry jam recipe from The Grain-Free Gourmet to someone I met on a Crohn's list and she had this question: One question > though. Does cooking the cranberries that long help make the skins > more digestible than they are in whole berry cranberry sauce? I > have a stricture and have to be careful of such. With all the caveats about waiting till symptoms clear before introducing certain legal but hard to digest foods, I haven't come across the cranberry skin question. Of course homemade is healthier in any event but I just wanted to know. Thanks and take care, Fay

Guest guest
I would think that you could press the cranberries through a sieve and get rid of the skins that way just to be on the safe side.
