Guest guest
Hello everyone, hope everyone is having a good day. I have been in flare it seems like forever. But my question is I have a court date with a judge regarding my social security on sept 4th, what should I expect? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Katy, I wish you the best of luck with the judge... be sure you tell him when he asks... EVERYTHING... right down to the nitty gritty. How does this disease affect your life? What is different about your life since you have been diagnosed? What kind of work can you do? Tell him everything, don't leave anything out... and if you are in pain that day...by all means TELL the judge! Tell him the amount of meds you have to take to remain pain free/less, and don't be shy about How it affects your life either (especially if you have malabsorbtion problems, like me). Tell him about ER visits and hospital stays, tests and hospitalizations for tests... surgical procedures...everything. And make sure you have the same record they do, get there early and ask to look at your file. And if you have stuff they don't HAVE THEM ADD IT BEFORE YOUR HEARING, it could make all the difference in the world. Good luck Katy...its a hard thing to go through, but if I can...anyone can and I did three times, twice for my son and once for myself. You can do this!!! Oh yeah... Have someone drive you... do not drive yourself... my lawyer stressed that to me too. {{{HUGZ and Prayers}}} ---------------------------------
