Guest guest
Cyndie, My doc has me use Sandostatin only at the onset of an acute attack. I don't use it as a daily medicine. My trepidation over the drug is the bad reaction I get for the first 15-20 minutes after I inject myself. I usually go into cold sweats and vomit for distance for about 5 minutes. I keep some Phenergan suppositories around and try to remember to take them 20 minutes before I inject but even that isn't enough sometimes. I'm OK after that and the drug stops nearly all of my attacks within 24-48 hours. It kicks my butt but it stops the attack in its tracks. That's my story about Sandostatin. I love it and I hate it. What it does FOR me I love. What it does TO me I hate. Chuck At 05:39 AM 8/26/2002 +0000, you wrote: >What's all the commotion about Sandostatin??? I've been on it >since '97.
