I have not posted much in the last months because I have been

working 40-50 hrs a week for months. But on the 4th of

December I made it one year with out being in the

hospital.

Cheryl

Cheryl,

It was so good to hear from you again! I've thought of you often

and wondered how my GA neighbor was doing. It seems the

message I sent earlier was lost in cyber space, so forgive me if

you end up seeing this twice. Congrats on your hospital-free

year's anniversary...YAY! I'm sorry that you feel that your illness

has gotten in the way of your families enjoyment of the holidays

in the past. I know we have all gone through this concern before,

yet CP seems to have it's own darn adgenda without regard to

our personal calenders and it's best not to worry too much, since

you know you have always done the best you can for your family

and they know this.

You said you felt it was due to good pain management that you

were able to work through several pain episodes. What pain

medication are you on now? I am still trying to discuss other

pain medications with my doctor, or find a doctor willing to

explore other non-surgical pain alternatives for me. I think I may

have developed another pseudocyst because I'm now having

pain in a different location (right side, where the head would be).

It has just of late become very severe and much more frequent

than in the past. I've also lost 10 pounds since October, this

teetertotter weight gain/loss continues.....I've learned to keep the

closet stocked with sizes 2 to 8 to compensate for these

fluctuations, but lately have been struggling to keep the weight

on. Weren't we discussing this problem a year ago last fall?

I hope you don't have another blocked duct, and that you are able

to slide through the holidays with ease and good health. Please

don't work too hard, especially now, and get yourself too tired to

relax and enjoy the time with your family during the holidays.

Keep in touch when you can and take care.

With hope and prayers,

Heidi
