I guess I am from a small town in NOrth Dakota and have a small town doctor that perhaps just has never dealt with this in a person my age????!!!!! I believe it's only a week's discussion out of the entire 4 year medical program, and most of that is centered on the affects of alcohol on the pancreas. It's better to find a specialist who has dealt with it before, the more frequently, the better, and those are usually in larger cities. Let us know what you find out, and please keep an eye on the group and the postings in case there is any way we can help. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
