Hello everyone:

I am wondering if anybody has ever tried Hydropel skin lotion. Here's

the url and the advertising on the website:

http://www.genesispharm.com/consumer/hydropel.html

>>>>HYDROPEL®

....extreme protection for your skin

No matter what your choice of sport, athletics or activity...Whether

you're an adventure racer or only occasionally get off the

couch...Whatever the reason your skin needs protection, Hydropel can

keep you going longer.

Hydropel Protective Barrier Ointment with 30% Dimethicone...

* Gives your skin the maximum strength protection available

* Virtually eliminates the friction between your body and your

clothes or shoes that extreme physical activity and athletic

competition can create

* Prevents the blisters friction can cause

* Provides an unsurpassed natural barrier to harmful irritants

including poisonous plants, chemicals and urine

* Protects wherever skin is at risk from irritation or

blisters?feet, underarms, thighs, chest, bottoms

* Multiple sports use<<<<<<<<

I'm just curious if anybody's tried this on their face. It sure

doesn't sound like it's marketed for the face (protects against

poisonous plants and urine?), but since dimethicone is supposed to be

soothing to skin, I was wondering if it would help rosacea skin.

Even if it doesn't help out rosacea skin, I'm still interested in

buying it if it DOES prevent blisters/friction problems for

kayaking/paddling friction burns (ouch!) but would hopefully like to

first hear from anyone that has used it successfully for such.

Theresa
