Guest guest
Hi, Does anyone know why tomato puree is illegal? The ingredients are only tomatoes and citric acid. Is it the citric acid? Just curious . . . Thanks! ~Terri

Is it the citric acid? No, it isn't the citric acid. Different batches of tomatoes have varying levels of sweetness. Sometimes sugar is added to ensure all the product is the same.
