Guest guest
Hey guys, It is my understanding that almonds/almond flour are high in phenols. For those spectrum kids that have trouble handling " phenols " (due to sulfate deficiency) has anyone seen/had a problem handling the diet? Does MSM help? Thanks Bridget
Guest guest
Bridget, That's why the name of the website and this group is PECANbread. Many of the ASD kids did not do well with almonds for that very reason. We found that all of the recipes that use almond flour can be made just as easily with pecans (which are not high in phenols). Could someone hel me out here and tell me about what PHENOLS are? We have yet to see a DAN, have to wait a month to see one!
