Guest guest
Kathleen, Our Washington Employment Security UI Division has implemented an effective outreach program for the Latino community. I have given your name to Jenaro Castaneda, manager of the UI Outreach program to contact you and provide you the information you are requesting. Let me know if Jenaro gets in contact with you. For your information I developed an outreach planning guide for establishing an outreach program to contact migrant and seasonal farmworkers. If you want a copy of the outreach guide, let me know. -----Original Message----- From: Kathleen Ferguson [mailto:ferg0114@...] Sent: Monday, June 10, 2002 7:08 AM Subject: [ ] program evaluation and educational models Hello to all, I am looking for information on the effectiveness of latino/hispanic outreach programs. Can anyone refer me to outreach programs in this or other fields that have proven effective and that would serve as a good model for program development? I would like to be able to cite some literature or talk to someone with information/data on outcomes. Also, does anyone know of any educational models that one could use in targeting hispanic immigrants and work? Thank you, Kathleen -- To Post a message, send it to: Groups To Unsubscribe, send a blank message to: -unsubscribe
Guest guest
Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone has information about any needs assessments (or health risk assessments) for Migrant and Seasonal Workers implemented in the state of Texas in the last 5 years. We are in the early stages of the development of a migrant/seasonal health needs assessment in East Texas. I have copies of some excellent needs assessments from other parts of the country that were shared on this listserve. But, I would assume that someone has done one/many needs assessments somewhere in Texas. Thanks! Guest guest
Kathleen, Attached is the file on the MSFW outreach guide. The outreach guide is for outreach workers who provide employment services to farmworkers. The ideas on planning might be helpful to you. I have notified Jenaro Castaneda from our UI Division to send you information on his UI Outreach program. I hope this information is helpful to you.
