Guest guest
Ken, It certainly sounds like the feelings I had coming off of high doses of narcotics before having my pump implanted. I was miserable, couldn't sleep, sit or stand in any one place for very long. It only lasted the one night (because I was on morphine and under general anesthesia the next day) but it was the worst night of my life. I have no idea why it began before going off the meds for you but coming off that much at once you had to have had a physical dependence. I hope it ends quickly for you, whatever it is. Bruce Re: Itchy Joints Ken, has your medication changed recently? I've had similar sensations when on codiene. I don't have trouble with hydrocodone - well not that trouble. It does make me itchy sometimes but benadryl seems to keep the itching to a tolerable level. W Itchy Joints I am starting to feel a little desperate. Has anyone else experienced a tickling sort of itch, like a blade of grass sawing on you, but inside their joints? Especially the major joint areas such as shoulders, knees and hips? This has been off & on for a few months now, but over the last week it's become everyday, almost all day and I am starting to get a little nuts. The truly weird thing is the sensation is only very strong when I try and relax. If I am in motion, I still feel it, albeit not nearly as intense. A one time use doc prescribed an antihistamine every 8 hrs, but it doesn't work. I've even tried doubling up with Benedryl as well. Any help is truly appreciated, and the quicker the better. I have only slept about 12hrs this week and I am so totally exhausted, I'm almost willing to do anything to get some relief. Guest guest
Thanks all. The antihistamines have finally worked. I guess it just had to build up in my system for a full day because at about 9 this morning I finally fell asleep for a long 8 and baby what a difference. This has been one of the longest weeks ever. If I had any sense, I'd get a job watching infomercials because there sure are a lot of late nights. Anyway, I have survived the terrible itch for another day and that's all that counts. I hope everyone gets to feel loved this holiday season. I convinced my sister to buy me an airplane ticket so I can go see them for my holidays. I know I got lucky this time. I hope ya'll do too.
