Guest guest
hi, she said that the reason i should stop doxy (at least 2 weeks before treatment) and start minocine is that Doxy will make me more prone to bruising and other problems because of the drug's photosensitivity side effect. the main thing she was looking for in all my medicines that i take is photosensitivity listed as a side-effect. that's all she said and that they *do not* do fotofacials while you are taking doxy. she said minocin was a better one and the antibiotic they recommend. she assumed the reason i was prescribed doxy (and tetracycline first) is that it is the cheapest. Kaiser (my HMO) isn't willingly going to give me the more expensive minocin, so i have an appointment in another couple weeks to ask to switch. maybe if i bring the note saying i can't take the doxy it will help:-) hope i was of some assistance.....
