Guest guest
I would try peanut butter candies (honey (boiled until forms a ball when dropped into water), peanut butter, and coconut oil) frozen until solid and formed into balls or cut into squares and put in wax paper as toffees. I think there are actual recipes for this on pecanbread.com. HTH! ........... Guest guest
" Also, the sugar replacer that we use have been shown to actually prevent tooth decay! " I found this in the information, although I could not find the exact ingredients anywhere. This to me suggests that they are using Xylitol to sweeten the candy. It's the only sugar alternative that I have ever seen claim to prevent tooth decay. Xylitol is not allowed on SCD. The company seems to have a lot of really nice pictures, but very few details on their product. Pretty frustrating to be honest. I went through numerous links on their website and was unable to determine the exact ingredients. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Kids don't have to have something " sweet " to know that they did a good job. They just want love and good old fashion attention and to know they are making their parents happy. Go to the park or give a " tickle " hug. Stickers are great for rewards too...just don't get the lickable ones! They can have starch/gluten on them! We learned the hard way....same thing goes with stamps and envelopes! If you still want something SCDiet legal Elaine had candy recipes. Antoinette SCD day 15....(Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, ASD, ADHD......) Guest guest
> > They are sweetened with isomalt. Not sure what that is? > Isomalt is dervided from beet sugar and can have laxative quakities: Like the dietary fiber in green beans, onions and various types of fruit, ISOMALT belongs to a group known as `low digestible carbohydrates'. These carbohydrates stimulate bowel activity and aid regularity. Like with e.g. plums, excessive consumption can have a laxative effect. Just as high-fibre foods, It is not legal. Carol F.
