need suggestions, please (not cf)

Hi everyone... hope you don't mind me asking on this list, but with

all the talk of Christmas... for those of you with children in the 10

to 16-year old age range, I'd love to get some suggestions for

Christmas gifts.

I have a 16-yr. old neice, (she's 5 ft. 10 in.!), loves basketball --

but isn't playing this year because she wanted to concentrate on AP

classes. She's into all the feminine stuff, trying out make up -- and

usual teen stuff like boys, telephone, floor length dresses for

school dances... What are the " female teen fads " right now -- like

jewelry, certain clothes, etc.?

Her brother is 14-yrs. old, already over 6 ft. tall and also an avid

basketball fan and player. Haven't a clue what to get him! Year

before last I called in a favor and got him a spot as ballboy for one

of OSU's basketball games (his parents' alma mater). I didn't tell

him until about 2 hours before the game and he was still in a daze

days later. That was so fun for everyone! But what do you get for 14-

yr. old boys these days??

The youngest sister is 10-yrs. old (today!) She's tall too but her

passion is horseback riding not basketball. She'd grow up to be the

next " Crocodile Hunter " if she could; she's absolutely nuts about all

animals and her favorite television station is Animal Planet, but

like her older sister, she's also very " girly " and a true little free

spirited butterfly.

I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet, and I always like to

get them something special. It's harder now that I only see them a

couple times a year. Any suggestions, please?!
